Pangeran Mangkubumi Dampingi Anak Nus Kei Lapor ke Bareskrim Polri, Desak Pengungkapan Dalang Pembunuhan
Suara Pecari – 21 April 2026 | On Monday 20 April 2026, Pangeran Mangkubumi, appointed as legal advisor to the family of the late Agrapinus Rumatora, accompanied his client Desly Claudya to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) to lodge a formal complaint.
Desly, the only child of the murdered public figure known as Nus Kei, reiterated his demand that the investigation extend beyond the two suspects already detained, arguing that they acted only as field operatives.
He specifically requested that Bareskrim coordinate with the Maluku Provincial Police and subordinate units to trace and prosecute the mastermind and any intellectual contributors to the homicide.
“I want justice for my father. The two arrested are just the hands; the brain behind the killing must also be caught,” Desly said to the officers present.
Pangeran Mangkubumi explained that filing the report was a strategic move to compel law‑enforcement agencies to apply the newly enacted Articles 20 and 21 of the Criminal Code, which broaden liability for accessory and intellectual authors of violent crimes.
“The new provisions allow us to pursue those who plan and direct the crime, not only those who pull the trigger,” he told the media.
The complaint also cited the need for a thorough forensic and witness review of the incident that occurred on 19 April 2026 at Langgur Airport in West Maluku, where Agrapinus was stabbed by unknown assailants at approximately 11.25 WIT.
Police records indicate that two individuals were apprehended shortly after the attack, but family members maintain that the perpetrators are part of a larger network that has remained hidden.
Representatives from the Golkar Party attended the filing to show political support for the family’s quest for accountability, though they did not intervene in the legal process.
The case has attracted national attention because Nus Kei was a prominent figure in the Maluku cultural scene, and his sudden death has raised concerns about possible political or economic motives behind the assault.
Legal experts note that the inclusion of Articles 20 and 21 could set a precedent for future homicide investigations in Indonesia, as the statutes aim to close gaps that previously allowed masterminds to evade prosecution.
The Bareskrim Polri confirmed receipt of the report and pledged to cooperate with the Maluku Police, emphasizing that the investigation will follow the procedural safeguards outlined in the revised penal code.
As the investigation proceeds, Desly and his legal team have warned that they will monitor the progress closely and will not hesitate to bring additional legal actions if they perceive any obstruction.
The family hopes that the expanded inquiry will bring clarity to the motives behind the murder and restore confidence in the rule of law in the region.
The case remains open, and authorities have not disclosed a timeline for arrests beyond the two already in custody.
